ABOUT US

WHO WE ARE

Phi Sigma Rho is a social sorority centered around forging a strong community for women pursuing engineering. Our emphasis is around the relationships that we form and the memories that we make, but as engineers, we also support each other in our academic and professional endeavors. As a national organization, members of Phi Rho are part of a nationwide network of current members and alumni that thrives even after graduation.

The Mu Chapter is an associate member of the University of Washington's Panhellenic organization. This means that we choose not to participate in certain Panhellenic events, such as formal fall recruitment, and maintain our own recruitment process. However, we still have access to many of the benefits and connections to other Greek organizations on our campus, by taking part in Panhellenic-sponsored events and programming and connecting with other sororities through exchanges.

OUR VALUES

FRIENDSHIP

To be there for each other in good times or bad; to build meaningful

relationships that last far beyond college.

SCHOLARSHIP

To work hard in pursuit of a career in engineering and to continually strive for excellence.

ENCOURAGEMENT

To be loyal to each other, to celebrate each others' accomplishments and support each other during setbacks.

WHAT WE DO

IMG_0194.jpg

Here at the University of Washington, we encourage women to join STEM fields, in which they are typically known to be part of a minority. Members of Phi Sigma Rho are capable and inspiring women who are also powerful scholars. In every way, members of Phi Sigma Rho impact their community.
